Great story...so now that 'C' level execs have determined that they should consider strategic sourcing, where do they go? What's their next step? I'd like to suggest another set of questions that in my experience drive executives to initiate action. They come from more than 30 years of working with clients to define and implement sourcing solutions in the IT services and outsourcing marketspace. Three simple questions go to the heart of what CEOs and other 'C' level executives should be thinking about and that is 'value'. Specifically they want to know, 'How Much?', 'How Soon?' and 'How Certain' the value is in a strategic sourcing initiative. While simple to ask, they are more difficult to answer...which is where an advisor can help. A strong business case can answer all three by clearly quantifying the value for an organization, developing a step-by-step road map as to how to achieve the value and an investment strategy to ensure an adequate return over time.
